Balance and Movement
Wassily Kandinsky is a perfect example of how to balance colors and imagery while creating eye movement for the viewer!
Project
- Use a heavy duty 9x12 sheet of art paper
- You will create two compositions one symmetrical and the other asymmetrical.
- Measure a 1 inch boarder around the 9x12 paper. In this space measure two boxes at 4.5 inches by 7 inches. Leave one inch between the two.
- In these spaces draw out compositions lightly as graphite will show through.
- Very carefully watercolor the images and let dry.
- Enhance by using chalk pastels
- Turn in!
